Hatch Architects Launches Second Architectural Plans Development Initiative

On March 24, 2020, Eng. Musaad Algfari, in collaboration with Hatch Architects, launched the second version of the Architectural Plans Development Initiative, following its successful debut in 2018. The initiative brings together approximately 200 architects from around the world and is supervised by Eng. Musaad and Hatch Architects.

Objectives of the Initiative:

• Provide community service to individuals unable to afford professional architectural services.
• Highlight the importance of professional architectural work.
• Introduce the community to professional architects and showcase their expertise through examples of their work.

Who Benefits from This Initiative:

• Individuals with land and housing plans needing professional development (prior to the start of construction).
• The initiative does not support recreational constructs, rest houses, or buildings.
• Applicants who have already commenced construction are not eligible.

How the Initiative Works:

1. Applicants submit full floor plans and general site plans clearly showing the building's regressions, preferably in AutoCAD format, to [email protected].
2. The submission must include:
   • Name and contact number of the landowner.
   • Number of family members.
   • Full requirements for the plan, including amendments or additional needs.
3. The submissions are reviewed to determine eligibility. Incomplete or unclear applications will not be considered.
4. Eligible plans are assigned randomly to participating architects, who develop the designs based on the owner's requirements.
5. Once finalized, the plans are presented to the owner for feedback and any necessary revisions.
6. The architect completes the plans, providing either manual or computer-drawn designs, and shares a video presentation of the work on social media for broader community benefit.
